after a fire burned their home. ktvu channel 2 reporter claudine wong has been there since 4:30 this morning getting a close look at the damage. >> reporter: good morning, tori. we have daylight. we can get a look at the damage. you can see how hot this fire burned. there was a partial roof collapse this morning. so waiting for daylight was very important for investigations to make sure it was safe so they can figure out what areas are safe to go into as they try to figure this out. we just talked to a neighbor who practically could feel the heat of the fire from his deck. he told us what he saw. >> from what i could tell, it was another oakland hills fire. it was so intense and so big. i thought what's going on here? it was just the one house. but it was very scary. >> reporter: when he first saw the firefighter, the firefighters were not called get. they got a call at about 12:15 and they got here and saw the fire was surrounding threatening -- the fire was threatsenning surrounding homes and they called for backup. there was one person in a wheelchair. two officers were a

quiet for now. ktvu news. >>> a grocery store clerk is recovering after being assaulted during a robbery. two masked gunmen held up the clerk at grocery outlet in oakland last night. it happened at 9:00 just before closing. the store's security guard says the robbers ordered him to get on the ground and hit him in the head with the gun and left with the money. now, this comes two days after armed men robbed a safeway in san leandro. police detained a possible suspect in that case in oakland. time now is 4:33. morgan hill police are looking for a woman who let her 10-year- old daughter take the fall for a shoplifting scam. marci filled up a grocery cart and then went to get her car. they say she told her daughter to push the cart outside and wait for her. when store employees stopped the girl, she drove off, leaving the girl behind. police are looking for her on burglary charges and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. >>> the continentals of omega boys and girls club in vallejo is without their equipment this morning. thieves broke in and stole a number of computers and other item
